Stepping up to Management an ILM Level 3
Qualification for Women
The Stepping up to Management programme, designed by the delivery team and accredited to ILM level 3 through City
and Guilds, is an aspiration and inspirational women’s development programme. The project was delivered in partnership
with Carol Pickering and Associates, Abbeydale Training and CIDA. The 6 day programme attracted the accreditation while
maintaining its core inspirational content. Initially delivered to 96 women the contract was extended to deliver to 135
learners due to demand. Over 95% of the women have achieved their ILM accreditation.
The course gives the learners the confidence and capability to understand their personal drivers and traits,
integrating them into their daily working lives to enable them to be more effective managers in the workplace.
Skills developed through the programme enable the learners to develop effective skills for communication,
conflict resolution, general first line management skills and work life balance.
